    Stephanie Campbell has been named valedictorian and Jessica Zaugg has been named salutatorian of the 1999 Warsaw Community High School senior class.

Campbell is the daughter of Linda and Stephen Campbell of Warsaw, and Jessica is the daughter of Jim and Sharon Zaugg, Winona Lake.

    As part of the observance of National Nurses Week, Gracie Freeman, director of nurses at Mason Health Care, was named Nurse of The Year by the Kosciusko County Nurses Association recently. She has been director of nurses at Mason since 1977, following her graduation from St. Edwards's School of Nursing, Fort Smith, Ark.

May 29 1959

    Everett Myerly will testify to the fact that fishing's good. He landed two catfish within three quarters of an hour in the channel near the fairgrounds. Myerly, who lives south of Warsaw on Ind. 15, said he caught them on a bee moth while still-fishing. Together the two fish tipped the scales at 9-1/4 pounds, with the larger one going just over five pounds.

    Everett "Bud" Robinson, 17, who last winter starred as center for the Burket High School ball team and last summer was star first baseman on the district championship Junior American Legion ball team from Burket, has won a berth as first baseman on the Lincoln, Neb., ball club.
