    INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana CPA Society recently honored Monica Brickel, of Winona Lake, as outstanding accounting major. She was honored at Grace College.

The Outstanding Accounting Major award is given each year by the CPA Society as a way to recognize outstanding undergraduate accounting majors.

    Charles Barringer, Warsaw, received special recognition from Hoosier Lake Amateur Radio Club recently for having been a licensed "ham" radio operator for 50 years.

May 29 1957

    Beverly Rathbun, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rathbun, Warsaw, was one of 40 student nurses capped in ceremonies conducted at St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. The cap signifies satisfactory completion of a 36-week pre-clinical period of study. Beverly was graduated from Leesburg High School last spring.

    Bertha Black, Pierceton, reports that for the past three years her front yard has been covered with mushrooms. Black reports that this week she had 45 mushrooms, from which she made a splendid dinner.
