10 Years Ago The Stonehenge Golf Clubs Ladies’ Bridge group met Wednesday afternoon with the following winners – Margret Stutzman, Carolyn Condon, Dorothy Sweeney, Virginia Horn and Erma Swank. The evening mixed bridge group winners were: Lila O’Connell, Nancy McNalty, Jim Loser, Bob Steele, Jean Kollar, Ken Stringer, Elaine Loser, Ivan Oberlin, George White, Mary Steele, Keith Horn and Maizie Kreicker. 25 Years Ago Warsaw Community High School students Chris Kreicker and Mike Darr presented a “Just Say No” program to sixth-grade students at Jefferson Elementary School recently. The program, sponsored by the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, was shown to all area fifth- and sixth-grade students as part of a kick-off campaign to get students to form “Just Say No” groups. The program encourages children to say “no” to drugs and alcohol. High school members of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes visited all area schools, giving the program and encouraging students to make their own decisions. 50 Years Ago Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wright, Bourbon, are expected home this weekend from a vacation trip they took with their daughter, Rita of Chicago. The Wrights flew by jet to the Seattle Fair, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Nev. 75 Years Ago Lawrence Beigh, Clay Township trustee, was elected secretary of the association at the meeting held at Argos recently. Fourteen of the Kosciusko County trustees, accompanied by their wives and County Superintendent and Mrs. Harry E. Lewallen, attended the meeting at which more than 200 persons were present.
