    Jonathan R. Knisely was named valedictorian and Jeremy A. Evans was named salutatorian for the 1998-99 school year at Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Knisely is the son of Richard and Johnna Knisely, Claypool, and Evans is the son of Neil and Linda Evans, Silver Lake.

    Warsaw Community High School athletes honored at the annual Adult Tiger Club Senior Banquet were Jon Valentine, Fisher Award for football; Karl Ottersberg, scholarship award; Chris Stine, male career athlete award for letters earned; Scott Lee, scholarship award; Tonya Davis, Tucker Award for girls basketball; Michelle Sand, female career athlete for letters earned; Christi Harmon, scholarship award; Vicki White, Boice Award for girls tennis; Tracy Long, scholarship award; and Leon Brennenman, winner of the Boice Award for boys tennis.

    Jean Kelley, of Warsaw, Judith Andres, of Leesburg, Twilla Morehouse, of Milford, and Mary Helen Kilgore, of Pierceton, each named Good Citizen of her school, were honored by Agnes Pruyn Chapman chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at a recent dinner in the Westmister Hotel. Judith's paper was selected for state competition.

    Frank Brenneman, of Leesburg, was a recent business caller at the Times office. Brenneman, who is 76 years of age, reports that he has been a reader of the Daily Times and Northern Indianan for more than 60 years.
