An American plow record is thought to have been established by Obe Haimbaugh, 72, farmer living near Mentone. May 21, the aged man completed plowing 40 acres of land, all of which he turned over with a walking plow. When interviewed by friends after he had finished his task, which took several days, Haimbaugh stated he felt fine. The Kosciusko County man's feat, it is believed, established a state walking plow record for a man who is past three score and 10 years of age.
