    Judy Hartup, Wal-Mart associate, presents Dale and Thelma Beery of Claypool a certificate good for a $1,000 shopping spree. The give-away was a part of the Warsaw Wal-Mart 10th anniversary celebration.

    When Tom Aycock, Warsaw, graduates soon from Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne, he will become the first person to receive a college degree by attending classes only on the weekend.

An employee of L.M. Berry, Aycock will receive an associates's degree in supervision after attending weekend college since 1981.

    A gold loving cup that's passed from one Girl of the Year to another has a place of honor in the Richard Shively household. It was awarded to Wanda in recognition of her outstanding service to Alpha Beta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

    The junior class of Warsaw High School will present a clever three-act play, title "That Lucas Family."

Those playing characters are: James Pottenger, Donald Phillips, Paula Millican, Marion Coplen, Lolabelle Weirick, Kathryn Olds, Jack Landis, Frances Williams, Carroll Dolinger, Virginia Mellencamp, Marjorie Kesler and William Braddock.
