    Two Milford girls will represent the class of 1982 at Wawasee High School as valedictorian and salutatorian of their graduating class.

Norine Gale Sorensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Sorensen, Milford, has been named valedictorian, and Susie Schmucker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schmucker, Milford, is salutatorian.

    The goal of most bowlers is a 600 series (three games). Dean Goshert, Burket, posted an even 700 series in league competition in Warsaw with games of 245, 233 and 222. It was highest series of the year in local league bowling, although Harold "Dutch" Ford, who owns the alleys, went over 700 in the recent city tournament.

    Poultry raisers and chicken hatchery proprietors are alarmed over the fact that a mammoth snake 15 feet long and as large around as a man's leg was recently seen near the A.T. Cook farm at Doran's station on the Winona railroad near Mentone.

According to reports received in Warsaw, Leo Bennett a few days ago saw a blue racer and went over to kill it. Upon arriving near the spot he saw it, this huge snake, which resembled a python or boa constrictor, raised up.
