    Warsaw Community High School's interdisciplinary team recently won top honors at the statewide Academic Super bowl and was recognized by the Warsaw school board. Team members are Stephanie Campbell, Jeff Ciula, Gillian Morrison, Beth Wallace and Betsy Lamp.

May 17 1982

    Honored as the Baker Boys Club Boy of the Year as the Optimist Club-sponsored banquet was John Thomas. Shawn Lenfesty was runner-up.


50 Years Ago

May 17 1957

    The Bourbon livestock judging team placed second in the Marshall County contest held recently. Members are Allan Roose, Ka Rettinger, David Dinius, Jim Knepp and Jay Wiedeman.


75 Years Ago

May 17 1932

    Bert Sellers and a party of friends gathered almost a full bushel of mushrooms. The largest was 8 inches long, not including the stem. To substantiate the claim of Sellers and his brother-in-law, Lloyd Schue, of Chicago, and their wives as local champs, they had photographs taken of their catch and the party. Sellers will exhibit the photostatic proofs to any skeptics. No trick photography was involved.
