 The man who kept things virtually the same for 20-plus years, Al Rhodes, certainly changed the face of Warsaw Community High School’s boys basketball program earlier today. After today, Rhodes will no longer be the coach of the Tigers. His resignation, expected to be tendered today during a 3:30 p.m. press conference, ends a 22-year head coaching career at WCHS.

 This recipe was published in the Spotlight Recipe Contest for Mama’s Peanut Butter Pie.     
Ingredients: 1/2 cup peanut butter; 3/4 cup confectionary sugar; 1 (3-1/2 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding and pie filling; 1 Keebler prepared graham cracker pie crust; 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip.
 In a small bowl mix peanut butter and sugar; mix until crumbly and place in pie crust. In a saucepan prepare the pudding according to package directions for pie. While still very warm pour pudding over peanut butter crumbs. Cool and serve. Use Cool Whip as a garnish. Variations – use chocolate pudding. Dawn Martin, Winona Lake.

 Lois Tachetter and Patrick “Pat” McClure have been selected as valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the Warsaw High School senior graduating class, Principal William Davis announced today. Lois is the daughter of Mr. and Mr. Paul Tachetter, Winona Lake. Pat is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.K. McClure, Warsaw.

 A robin’s nest on a fire escape at the Warsaw High School has caused discontinuance of fire drills. A mother robin every few minutes is seen feeding four gaping mouths of baby robins with their eyes hardly yet open. Rather than disturb the birds, school officials are delaying the usual fire drill rehearsals.
