Burke later went to Purdue, returned here as head track coach, and is now head track coach at Culver Military Academy. Dave still holds the Warsaw school record of 6 feet, 3-1/2 inches, set at Columbia City in 1950. Cook did not try for this mark, due to the cold wind that prevailed here Tuesday evening.
