    LEESBURG - For the second time in just over four months, Leesburg's Craig Justice bowled a 300 game.

Justice, who bowled a 300 back on Nov. 15, bowled his second YABA-sanctioned 300 game at Warsaw Bowl in his junior league.

    The Warsaw Racquet Club recently held its annual spring racquetball tournament. Receiving awards were Ron Mason, C-division winner; John Clay, A-consolation winner; Joe Wong, B-division runnerup; Bruce Bowman, A-division winner; Larry Stackhouse, B-division winner; Gary Himes, C-consolation winner; Gary Miller, B-consolation winner; Dan Toppin, A-division runnerup; Karen Widaman, C-division runnerup.


50 Years Ago

April 3 1958

    Abe Hoogenboom, one of Kosciusko County's most successful high school basketball coaches during the past six years at Mentone, announced his resignation. The 6-foot, 5-inch mentor has accepted a position as freshman coach and instructor at Concord High School, near Elkhart, in Elkhart County.

Hoogenboom's 1954 team won both the county and sectional tournaments and if fact registered 25 victories in 26 starts before losing to Elkhart in the regional meet at South Bend.

April 3 1933

    Herbert E. Lantz, son of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Lantz, 1212 E. Main St., Warsaw, was recently honored at Butler University when he was elected to memberships in Alpha Delta Sigma, national advertising fraternity. Lantz is a junior at the university and is studying journalism. He is a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.
