Davah Dial and Tammy Keirn are the valedictorian and salutatorian respectively of the class of 1997 of Whitko High School.
The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation has recently named Linda Nice, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Stanley Nice of Warsaw, as the recipient of the Indiana Harry S. Truman Scholarship for 1982. The award carries an annual stipend of $5,000 for her last two years of undergraduate work and her first two years of graduate study.
William Hudson, son of the A.E. Hudsons, East Center Street, was honor man in the class of initiates for Triangle fraternity at the University of Kansas at Lawrence, Kan. Bill is a freshman in engineering.
NORTH MANCHESTER - Once a year the seniors observe "Ditch day," leave Manchester College and the other students behind and depart for a secret destination. Usually, though, the other classes know all about it. This year the seniors decided to see a movie in Peru. No scouts followed them, all appeared serene. But as they started to enter the theater a shower of eggs descended on them. The underclassmen had been waiting there all evening for them.
