    Wawasee High School students winning first place in the WHS art show include Matt Heiman, Carrie Alles, Matt Coy, Case Hensler (Best of Show), Megan King, Rachel Kiefer; Scott Bryan, Julia Neff, Eva Barrett, Cassandra Wells, Pete Wamsley, Brad Hursh, Brent Edwards, Kevin Strong, Kate Richardson, Tom Leary and Matt Martin.

    Margaret D. Mason, director of nursing at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, has been named to the 13th Edition (1983-84) of "Who's Who of American Women" by the Marquis Who's Who Publications Board.

April 27 1959

    Around ... Our Town And County - Loren Melick, one of our proof-readers, informs us that an auto was made in Warsaw in the 1906-07 period. The auto, the Buzz Wagon, was made by Silas Schott. Schott engineered a coal burner. Loren states that the auto was barred from Warsaw streets because the hot coals fell on the road and burned horses' hooves.

    Rex Bloom of Claypool, Times carrier boy, has the honor of going to elementary schools for eight years and graduating this year from Claypool High School, without being absent or tardy a single school day. Bloom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bloom of Claypool, is a grandson of Alice Bloom of this city.
