Jay Stahly, a junior at Warsaw Community High School, was selected as one of the recipients of the Indiana Electric Cooperative Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.
The son of Stephen and Deborah Stahly, Jay will represent Kosciusko REMC and will travel with a delegation from Indiana to Washington, D.C., on June 12. The delegation is scheduled to personally meet with Indiana senators and representatives.

Christie Beck, Ball State junior, recently won the state championship in persuasion speaking at IU-South Bend during the Indiana State Oratory Contest.
Beck, the daughter of Sarah Beck, Warsaw, has competed with the speech team for three years.

Howard Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Clark, Bourbon, has completed three years service in the Navy. His ship was the Antietam, a carrier. Howard arrived home on his 21st birthday.

Athletic awards were announced at Warsaw High School. Basketball sweater winners are Jack Gibbs, John Holderman, Gibson Bolinger and Forrest Jobe; basketball letters: Ben Mishler, George Phillips, John Widaman, Kenneth Hoover, Carl Latta and Harold Brown.
Each year the Warsaw Kiwanis and Rotary clubs award a gold football and a gold basketball to the players who have the best playing ability, attitude and grades. James Johnson was awarded the gold football and Forrest Jobe the gold basketball.
