Street commissioner John Lee was instructed by the city council to make a survey in Warsaw of trees with limbs hanging dangerously low over streets and sidewalks and advise the property owners to have the trees trimmed. Rex Smith, operator of a junk yard in the northwest section of Warsaw, was served with a warrant by Police Chief Neff for maintaining a nuisance. An ordinance regulating the weight limit of motor vehicles, including loads, to 19,000 pounds on city streets was passed by Warsaw’s city council on a motion by Councilman Wesley Light and a second by Councilman Frank Smith.
