10 Years Ago Mary C. Baker, Warsaw, received the Robert J. Alber Memorial Scholarship from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. Baker is a third-year dental student at the school. Terry Gildersleeve Moore was named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga., for winter quarter 2003. 25 Years Ago David S. Darr, senior from Warsaw Community High School, is among the eight Indiana high school seniors to be awarded scholarships at the 18th-annual Eisenhower Foundation Scholarship awards ceremony at the Lilly Center’s Auditorium, Indianapolis. Darr is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Darr, Winona Lake. The award winners will receive $10,000 scholarships over a four-year period while attending a college or university. 50 Years Ago Miss Leora Warble, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Warble, of North Webster, has been elected corresponding secretary of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Miss Warble is a physical education teacher at Port Washington, N.Y. 75 Years Ago Miss Luella Kinney, of Warsaw, has been selected by the Girls’ Club at Ball State Teachers’ College to compete with 13 other girls for the honor of being queen of the Junior Prom in June. Miss Kinney is also a member of the Women’s Athletic Association, Y.W.C.A. and music club.
