10 Years Ago Madison Elementary fourth-graders not only got a life experience recently, they also received rewards for their efforts. All 55 of students wrote business letters to Kellogg Co. regarding the company’s new Disney cereals. In return, the students received Disney Beanie Babies® and a banner. With $42 in coupons the company also sent, fourth-grade teacher Tracy Martin purchased Rice Krispies® treats for all the students.

50 Years Ago Mr. and Mrs. Sam Oldfather, Warsaw, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dunbar, Winona Lake, are leaving for Arlington, Va., Friday to see their new granddaughter, Elizabeth Claire, born April 12 to Lt. (jg) and Mrs. Dan Oldfather in the Bethesda Naval hospital. Her mother is the former Gail Dunbar.
75 Years Ago Dr. O.P. Miles returned to his home in Winona today after being absent for about six weeks. He delivered a series of lectures before the Baptist Trainer’s School at Little Rock, Ark. He conducted an evangelistic meeting in the Baptist Church at Antoich, Ark., and also one in the Sunset Baptist Church of Dallas and in the First Baptist Church at Carrolton. Dr. Miles is engaged at the present time in writing a book which is to come from the press this summer.
