    Lindsey Goodpaster, daughter of Barbara L. Goodpaster, Warsaw, is the area winner of a poster contest sponsored by the Indiana Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Posters were related to the theme, "Healthy Me, Healthy You, Healthy Community."

    Airman Tim L. Ashley, son of Silas G. and Ina M. Ashley, South Whitley, has graduated from the U.S. Air Force personnel specialist course at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.

A 1982 Whitko High School graduate, Ashley will now serve with the 7th Combat Support Group at Carswell Air Force Base, Texas.

    It was announced recently that Ronnie Hibschman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hibschman, of Syracuse, has been elected president of District II, Future Farmers of America chapter.

Jerry Firestone, junior at Syracuse High School and a Future Farmers of America member, received word that he had won a corn achievement project award. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Firestone, of near Syracuse.
