    A record 101 cars raced in this year's Kosciusko District Cub Scout Pinewood Derby at Harrison School. Winners are Brent Danner, Phil Swartz, Aaron Foster, Kyle Schneider, Travis Radford, Ben Duvall, Josh Shepherd, Josh Foster, Adam Ticker, Dick McCleary, Max Revere, Michael Lackey and Matt Voss.

    Two postal workers at the Warsaw Post Office recently were presented with special achievement awards for outstanding service. John L. Craig, supervisor of mail and delivery, presented the awards to Harold Garber, a city carrier for 30 years, and Russell Lichtenwalter, a window clerk, who has worked for the postal service for 22 years.

    Bill Dorsey, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Dorsey, of Syracuse, and a senior at Syracuse High School, was elected at Lafayette to head the Indiana Association of Future Farmers of America.

Melvin Mathias, of Larwill, was elected treasurer of the state organization.

    Warsaw Chapter No. 48, Royal Arch Masons, met in special session to confer the Royal Arch degree on Robert Hall, Herman Frauhiger and Clarence Heitman.
