Warsaw's National Guardsmen, Company L, 152nd Infantry, exhibited its military knowledge before Army inspectors; every button, rifle and thousands of pieces of equipment were inspected and turned out to be in precise military arrangement. Capt. Milo Snyder, First Lieut. Homer Rice, Second Lieut. Donald Curtis and 72 men were present and won special praise for being the only unit in the state to spend seven days and nights out in the open last December when the temperature went down to 20 degrees. Camp was four miles east of Warsaw. A medical officer accompanying them said there were three reports of finger cuts, none from exposure. A Times and Union reporter who watched the inspection found the local soldiers in excellent spirits, proud of their inspection record and a credit to our city.
