To hit one hole-in-one is a treat to most  golfers, to hit two in the same season is even more special. Local resident Larry Leek did just that last year at Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse, getting his first ace June 21 on hole No. 3, and then just nine days later acing hole No. 8. Leek has been a member at Maxwelton Golf Course for more than 25 years. He was awarded plaques for his two holes-in-one.

This is a recipe from the Women’s Exchange column for Chow Candy.
Combine 2 packages (6 ounces each) butterscotch chips in heavy saucepan. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in 2 cans (3 ounces each) fancy chow mein noodles and 1/2 cup cashews or peanuts, if desired. Mix quickly to coat noodles. Dip out by teaspoons on wax paper and cool. For variation, use all chocolate chips, all butterscotch chips or try lemon chips for an unusual taste treat.
