The team of Jana Knisely, Hilary O'Connell, Beth Gensinger and Liz Wiggins recently won the USA Hoops 3-on-3 competition in the under 14 age bracket at Tri-State University.
Also, the team of O'Connell, Knisely, Ashly Wyatt and Stephanie Direnzo placed first in the USA Hoops 3-on-3 competition at the Fort Wayne Coliseum.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Indiana Central University's Randy Heisler bettered his own state collegiate record in winning the invitational discus competition at the Dogwood Relays recently.
The junior from Warsaw heaved the discus 196 feet, 6 inches to improve on his previous Indiana collegiate record of 193-7, set earlier this season. The effort also moved Heisler closer to the prestigious 200 feet level.

Gene Albert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Albert, Leesburg, received a Manchester College "M" letter at a recent athletic awards program.
Albert, a sophomore, received his letter for being basketball student manager during the 1957-58 season.

The 15 percent federal salary reduction which went into effect on April 1 will make a reduction in salaries at the Warsaw post office of approximately $3,500 a year, Postmaster O.B. Kilmer said.
The salary of postmaster is reduced from $3,200 to $2,600 a year. Salaries of city carried and postal clerks, 11 in all, have been reduced from $2,100 a year to $1,785.
