    Twenty-four Warsaw Community High School students won awards in the South Bend district Scholastics Arts Awards Contest in March. Of those were Gold Key winners Michele Coffel, Nathan Ksiezopolski, Trisha Rager, Denise Shockley and Rachel Studtzman, who had their work sent to New York to be judged in the national contest.

    Bonieta M. Andrew has been recently named to the 13th edition for 1983-84 in Who's Who in American Women. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Porter Polston, she is married to Michael Andrew and has three sons, Barry, Darrin and Ryan.

Admission to Who's Who in American Women is based on objective qualitative criteria. To be selected, a woman must have attained conspicuous achievement. These achievements are based on two reference values: the position of responsibility and the level of achievement attained by the individual.

    Campus Notes - Fifteen hours of straight A - that's the record for Duke Fisher in his first semester of pre-med studies at Indiana University. He has been elected to Phi Eta Sigma, honorary for freshmen men. The son of Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, near Leesburg, Duke was one of Warsaw High School's speech champions last year.

April 10 1933

    Four baby squirrels are now being nursed and cared for by a cat on the Ray LeCount farm near Syracuse. Workman in cutting down trees on the farm heard a squeal and discovered that a mother squirrel nursing four baby squirrels had been killed by a falling limb of the tree.

The four baby squirrels were given to a cat on the LeCount farm, which had kittens 2 days old. The mother cat adopted the orphan squirrels and is now nursing the four squirrels with her own offsprings.
