    On Feb. 15, the Warsaw Racquet Club held its annual Beauty & The Beast mixed doubles tournament. Champions are Krista Koors and Ron Roetman, and finalists are Jack Sanders and Joyce Riley.

The Sno-Ball Tennis Tourney was held recently at the Warsaw Racquet Club. Champions are Laynette Whitaker and Krista Koors and finalists are Patty Lozer and Joyce Riley.

    Two members of Kosciusko County Chapter 160 Order of the Eastern Star, Lena Davidsen and Alyce Fuller, were honored for their 50-year memberships.

March 5 1958

    Dorothy Cumberland and Roy Downhour Jr., both of Warsaw, were named winners of the Central Shoe Co.'s annual sectional basketball tournament guessing contest, both winning a new pair of shoes.

Cumberland, of 732 W. Center St., guessed Etna Green as the tournament winner and predicted the total number of points scored in the 14 games would be 1,547. She missed it by only one. The actual total was 1,548.

March 5 1933

    A group of high school pupils, with their instructors, H.H. Crabill and Mamie Edgington, motored to Angola to attend a home talent play, Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice." The play was the initial performance in the new Angola High School auditorium.

Others attending from Warsaw were: Margaret Edgington, Esther Reece, Billie Sims, Winifred Sanders, Dorothy Herring, Elizabeth Hines, Rosemary McIntire, Ed Lucas, Jeff Powers, DeLoss Phillips and Roger Sanders.
