    Charles L. Frushour of Syracuse will be inducted into the Indiana Bowling Association Hall of Fame in Terre Haute.

Frushour started bowling in 1939 and is still active in the County League at Wawasee Bowl. As a bowler, his personal highs are a 288 game and a 731 series with his highest season average being 201.

    The recipient of the first-ever Policeman of the Year award from Warsaw Eagles Club was Det. Sgt. Jerry Laurien, who has been with the Warsaw Police Department 11 years.

Receiving awards for outstanding detective service from the Eagles were Det. Sgts. Gerald Oswalt and Brant Nellans.

    Two county girls have been elected to office in the Phi Mu social sorority at Indiana University for the 1959-60 school years. They are Carol Lee Dreher, Syracuse, a sophomore, as education chairman and Kathryn Locke, North Webster, as secretary. Dreher is a graduate of Syracuse High School and Locke of North Webster High School.

March 4 1934

    The largest crowd of the year attended recently the third of the series of Elks' bridge parties. Twenty tables progressed, with first ladies' prize being won by Mrs. Oliver Bodkin and second by Mrs. W.A. Diddel. Mrs. Leroy Bibler was given the consolation prize. Walter DuMez won the men's first prize and Merl Scoles the second prize. Ed Poulson was awarded the consolation prize.
