    INDIANAPOLIS - Dester Bell was a little spellbound after winning $178,000 on the "Hoosier Millionaire" television show.

"Is this real?" the North Webster man asked during the show broadcast.

    Three housewives were declared winners in the casserole taste-off competition at the Second Annual Times-Union Recipe Contest held last month at the LaMadre Restaurant in Warsaw.

First place was captured by Luann Woodward, 33, Warsaw, who prepared "Rio Grande Pork Roast"; second place winner was Bobbie Jo Glingle, 27, Akron, who prepared the dish, "Sukiyaki American"; and third place winner was Eleanor Holt, 49, Warsaw, who prepared "Quick Skillet Gumbo."

    Stewart Hawley, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hawley, Nappanee, is serving aboard the USS Spiegel Grove now on maneuvers in the Mediterranean.

Stewart enlisted for three years last September, and took boot training at Great Lakes.

    Elimination oratorical contest was held at the Leesburg Methodist Church, with Edward Good winning first. Six contestants competed in the tryout to pick the winner to represent the school in the county contest to be held at Syracuse.
