Former Warsaw Community High School football player Jamie Bowers is hitting the field once again. He will be playing fullback and linebacker for the Chicago Rush in the Arena Football League. Bowers will return to Indiana for the season opener on April 19, when the Rush will face off against the Indiana Firebirds at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Triton kindergarten students Matt Wanamacher, Dustin Hollar and Blake Williams are looking toward to the Triton Elementary Fun Fair. They helped hang posters for this event in Bourbon merchants’ windows. All elementary students made posters, which are to be placed in the school and area businesses. The fun fair is sited to be held April 10 in the Triton elementary gymnasium.

Robert D. Anderson, of Leesburg, goes to Washington, D.C., April 3 with the Marching Matadors of Ball State Teachers College to participate in the national drill team championship meet. The Matadors, a 17-man unit from the Air Force ROTC, took second at Cincinnati, Ohio, last weekend. Anderson is majoring in elementary education.

The Rev. and Mrs. J.H. Whiteman have returned to their home at Winona Lake after a seven-weeks trip through states of Washington, Oregon and California on Sunday school work.
Miss Olive White and Miss Clara Paulus have returned to their homes in Winona Lake after spending several months in the south.
