    WEST LAFAYETTE - The Whitko track team competed in the Bomber Boiler Relay Finals.
Susan Dome set a new school record in the 1600 with a time of 5:31.3. That time was good enough for third overall.

    Seventeen-year-old Jennie Elaine Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Smith, Warsaw, has been selected as a finalist in the 1982 Indiana Miss Teen Pageant to be held at the Sheraton-West Inn, Indianapolis. This is the official state-wide finals for the national Miss Teen to be held in November.

    Barbara Hauth, 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hauth, Warsaw, served as a page at Senate Sunday. Barbara is a student at Warsaw's Junior High School.

    Kosciusko County taxpayers pay more taxes per capita than 86 of the 92 counties in the entire state. Only five counties pay more per capita than Kosciusko County taxpayers. These five counties which pay more are Lake, Porter, Laporte, Benton and Newton, where scores of great railroad systems entering Chicago and great manufacturing industries bear the burden of high taxes,
