If a picture is worth a thousand words, then Al Disbro has provided many thousands of words over the years. He can be seen all over the community and especially in Winona Lake, taking pictures at public and private events that serve to preserve the moment. Recently, Disbro was the subject of a photo himself when he received the 2001 Bill Reneker Memorial Community Service Award at the Winona Lake Community Appreciation Dinner.

Friday, two school records were set as Warsaw runners competed in the Bomber-Boilermaker Relays at Purdue University. Pat Fuller set an indoor school mark with a 4:28 clocking in the mile. The effort was good for a fourth place finish. WarsawÕs two mile relay team of Angie Johnson, Shirley Bolinger, Tonya Fields and Beth Irvine had a school record 10:26.8 in placing sixth in the event. The mile relay team of Rachel Keele, Andrea Halpin, Teresa Smith and Johnson was ninth turning the distance in 4:25.1.

Rev. and Mrs. Garry Browne and Mrs. Ruth Rothenberger, whoÕve spent the past three months in California, plan to return to the North Webster community March 29. The Brownes have been visiting her brother and a daughter; Mrs. Rothenberger her son, Dr. Daniel Rothenberger, and family in Redlands.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Deerwester of Warsaw are the  parents of a son, William Tusing, weighing seven pounds born Tuesday morning, March 23, at the McDonald Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hostetler of near Warsaw are the parents of an eight-pound son, Harvey Lee, born Tuesday morning at the McDonald Hospital.
