    Steve Devenney, vice president of Penguin Point Systems, announced Abby Daugherty, Beth Hoover and Richie Hollingsworth as the "People Pleasers of the Year" for the Warsaw Penguin Point restaurants.

Daugherty, Hoover and Hollingsworth were voted "People Pleasers of the Year" by their associates for 1998.

    MILFORD - An impressive ceremony to present Rick Thompson with the Eagle Scout award was witnessed by more than 100 persons in the Milford Community Building recently, despite the snowy weather. He became the first Milford boy to win Scouting's highest award in 38 years.

March 21 1959

    Sgt. Larry E. Nelson, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester W. Nelson, North Webster, has received the expert infantryman badge in Berlin. Larry completed a series of written and practical tests on all phases of the infantry soldier's duties and skills. Entering the Army in 1954, he went to Europe in April 1955.

March 21 1934

    Heavy snowfall experience throughout Kosciusko County and vicinity Saturday night arrested transport traffic through this county for many hours. It was reported that a total of 32 trucks, including transport buses, were stalled at one time on the Atwood hill west of Atwood. At the hill east of Warsaw beyond Center Street on U.S. 30 similar experiences were reported by many trucks and cars.
