10 Years Ago Walgreens’ representatives have forwarded plans for a 14,560-square-foot building at the corner of Center Street and Argonne Road, Warsaw, according to city planner Jeff Noffsinger. Options to purchase six residences along Argonne, Market and Roosevelt streets, and the former Hickory Creek building, have been finalized. 25 Years Ago The lakes, wetlands and woods are all a part of Thames Mauzy’s life, and his love for them has served to spur on his devotion to the 18th District during the past 22 years. State Representative Mauzy (R-Warsaw) has served 11 terms with the house since 1966. Owner of Home Furniture Mart in Warsaw, the 79-year-old veteran announced earlier he will not be seeking an additional term. 50 Years Ago Kerry Anglin, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Anglin, Warsaw, who received the top drama award of the class of ’63 at the senior class play recently, received two more top awards at the district speech tourney held in Elkhart. Kerry was the only student in the state who received the first-place award in two events, winning in both the dramatic and humorous interpretation. 75 Years Ago The sixth birthday anniversary of little Jackie Dye was celebrated recently at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Dye, Winona Lake.
