    Scott Davison, son of Dale and Sally Davison, has been named a National Merit Finalist for 1998 from Warsaw Community High School.

The Merit Program honors individual students for their exceptional scholastic potential. Davison is one of only 374 students in Indiana to make it to the semifinalist stage.

    Heather Ann Kenney, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kenney, Warsaw, has been selected as a finalist in the 1983 Miss Indiana National Pre-Teen Pageant to be held at the Hilton Inn, Indianapolis.

March 17 1958

    Sylvia Kintzel and Maureen Moore, of the Warsaw High School chapter of Future Homemakers of America, were candidates for district FHA offices in an election on the Purdue campus in the union building today.

Sylvia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kintzel, East Center Street, is running for the parliamentarian's post. Maureen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore, Country Club Drive, is a candidate for editor of the district publication.

    An appreciative audience attended the presentation of a musical comedy, "Bon Voyage," by the Pierceton High School at the Pierceton Community building. The cast included Merlin Lawshe, Wilson Lawshe, Elaine Turney, Alice Schuldt, Ruth Barnhart, Carl Dill, Dora Fluke, Catherine Rardin, Mary Burnsworth, Mary Deaton, George Coon, Catherine Auer, Maxine Hope, Mary VanCuren and Delight Paxton.
