Stonehenge Wednesday Afternoon Bridge winners were Peggy Zimmerman, Carolyn Condon, Sue McGuire and Nancy Witt. Couple bridge winners were Walt Martin, Ken Stringer, Irma Swank, John Wagley, Lila O'Connell, Mary Steele, George Haymond and Dale Wright.

The Ramada Plaza Ladies Bridge Group met Thursday with six tables playing. Winners were Eileen Burgher, Leora Fuller, A.J. Plummer, Ione Jonas, Jean Kolar and Fernande Kolter. Hostess was Lucy Whiteneck.

The eighth-grade English class of Lisa Cavert at Warsaw Middle School recently had an assignment in which students were to choose a participial phrase and portray it as a mobile. In addition to the grade given by the instructor, the students voted for the outstanding mobile, based on application, originality and creativity. The efforts of Renee Lutes and Stephanie Miller tied for first place. Second-place honors went to Brian Ring and Joe Kimpel; third-place winners were Heather Katte and Rachel Hettler, and honorable mention went to Denise Weaver, Dana Creighton and Jason Trammel.

The McKinley grade school basketball team and cheerleaders posed for a group photo after winning their second consecutive city championship recently. Those present were: cheerleader Beth Lackey, Richard Foreman, Gary Reed, Joey Haywood, Mike Hanna, Darrell Bryant, Pat Watkins, Robin Rasor, Gordon Belcher, Tim Johnson, Coach Charlie Hunter, Steve O'Reilley, cheerleaders Fannie Haywood and Vicki Finkenbiner.
