10 Years Ago At the Warsaw Community High School Drama Club’s Annual Variety Show recently, student-favorite teacher Bill Kovach performed three songs during the night to pass time while students got ready and the judges calculated scores. The variety show could be considered a success since the Lakeview Middle School auditorium, where it was held, was nearly at capacity and all in attendance seemed to have a good time. She is a senior at Warsaw Community High School and a student of Mrs. Herbert Petrie, director of speech and dramatic activities at the school. 75 Years Ago With presentation of “While the Toast Burned,” the Pierceton cast was declared winner in the first elimination contest of one-act comedies held Tuesday night in the Pierceton High School, Claypool was second with the play, “Three Is a Crowd,” and Beaver Dam placed third with “What Grandmother Knows.”
