Tom and Becky Price received the Conservationist of the Year award from Myron Metzger at Tuesday night's annual Soil and Water Conservation District meeting. The honor is given each year to an area farmer for outstanding conservation practices.

The fact that Roy Mason, residing south of this city, possesses a remarkable rich voice of unusual range and power, was not discovered until a few days ago when he became converted while attending the revival meetings at Walnut Creek Church conducted by Rev. Gaddy. Mason joined in the singing, his voice attracted attention at once and now his friends are raising funds and insisting that he train his voice and enter the field of evangelistic singing.
