   The Harrison Huskies won the City Elementary Boys Basketball Championship for the second straight year by defeating the Washington Hornets 34-20 in the championship game. Members of the team are Dylan Sturgill, Nick Simpson, Josh Anglin, Jesse Sharp, Blake Bixler, Zack Linky, Nick Harman, Ben Linky, Cory Wiley, head coach Craig Helfrich, Luke Champion, Chase Byerly, Tyson Howard, Dylan Goble, Jonathan Scheets, Colton Streeter and assistant coach Brian Linky.

    Former Warsaw Community High School athlete Randy Heisler was presented a plague for his outstanding accomplishments in the field of track and field prior to a recent basketball game. Heisler is currently ranked second in the country in the discus and has the world’s fifth best throws so far this year. He is hoping to earn a berth on the U.S. Summer Olympic team.

    New lights are being installed in the courtroom and judge’s chambers in the court house. Judge Lee is planning to move into a new office as soon as installations and general repairs are made. Kosciusko County Civil Defense Director Milo Clase reports the county has received some of the first emergency supplies issued by state organizations. Supplies are now stored in the courthouse and First National Bank Building in Warsaw.

    Miss Jane Shoemaker, of Warsaw, and Miss Helen Clover and Mrs. Betty Jane Teeter, of North Manchester, and Miss Pauline Shively, of Claypool, will go to Indianapolis to take the written examination in beauty culture at the state house.
   Walter Songer, of Burket, and Robert Burwell of Bourbon, students at Wabash College, Crawfordsville, spent the weekend at their homes.
