Catherine Ott of Warsaw recently achieved the position of independent sales director with Mary Kay Inc. In preparation for her new role, she attended a weeklong business and leadership development seminar in Dallas, where she received education in business management, marketing strategies, sales techniques and fashion trends.
Brian Ryman of Warsaw, caught a 7-pound, 1-ounce largemouth bass while ice fishing on Center Lake. The 24-1/2-inch beauty was caught on a minnow. The angler was fishing with his father, David Ryman.

Tickets for the sectional basketball tournament to be held in the Warsaw armory Friday and Saturday are now on sale at the Warsaw and all county high schools. Single admission is 35 cents, and a season ticket for all six sessions is $1.50.
