10 Years Ago Grace College and Seminary is transforming the former Medtronic Sofamor-Danek building into the Robert and Frances Gordon Student Recreation Center. The facility was dedicated during the chapel hour recently. Photographed prior to the ceremony were: Dr. Ron Manahan, president of Grace College and seminary; Robert Gordon, who, along with his wife, Frances, purchased and donated the building to Grace; Ryan Egli, student body president; and John Boal, Grace’s chief advancement officer. 25 Years Ago For the four Warsaw Community High School wrestlers the dream of a team title and individual titles ended Saturday afternoon, but the experience should be even more helpful for next year. After qualifying all four individuals for the second round of action at the state meet, the closest any Warsaw wrestler could come to winning a title was fourth place as Nate Conley made it to the consolation round. 50 Years Ago Janice Lowman, Warsaw, has been elected president of the Winona Minor 49’ers 4-H Club. Miss Lowman, a junior at Warsaw Community High school, will serve for the coming year of 1963-64. Other officers elected were: Barbara Cain, vice-president; Cristy Lancaster, secretary-treasurer; Barbara Young and Barbara Runyan, health and safety; Nancy Hull and Marta Robinson, recreation. 75 Years Ago Miss Ruth King and Miss Irene Dome of Winona Lake spent Monday evening in Chicago where they went to hear Nelson Eddy at the Civic Theater. They returned Tuesday to their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Paine, Nolan Ellandson and Miss Vernice Unowcz and Fred Gresso of Warsaw, and Miss Luella Wingard of Syracuse attended the Notre Dame-Michigan State basketball game recently at Notre Dame.
