Indiana Lakeland Girl Scout Council Junior Troop No. 113 donated stuffed bears for the North Webster Police Department to give children who become accident victims. Scouts are Cayla Hilgenberg, Paige Pontius, Jennifer Thystrup, Sarah Arbaugh, Katie Allen, Andrea Huston, Kaila Shoemaker, Kaitlyn Stevens and Scout leader Lynn Stevens. Accepting are Town Marshal Greg Church and Officer Candace Smyth.
Mike Lamborne, manager of post office operations, and Len Stevens, post office real estate specialist, said the U.S. Postal Service will study three options for a new post office: expanding at the current location on Washington Street, remodeling an existing building, or building a new building elsewhere.

Bill “Dig” DeGaetano will take over management of the Humpty Dumpty Grill, 114 N. Buffalo St., downtown Warsaw, beginning March 5. Co-owners Jim Klondaris and his brother-in-law, Costas Lambros, will retire after a 40-year family tradition. Jim’s father, son of Greek immigrants, bought the Humpty in October 1950 from Howard Peterson, and went into business with Lambros in 1954 after he arrived in Warsaw from Greece with his bride, Georgia, Jim’s sister. His brother, Terry, had the opportunity to take over his father-in-law’s business, Cox Studios, in 1956.

March of Dimes volunteers for the Future Homemakers of America Chapter of Pierceton High School collected $69, it was reported by Teresa Tom, teenage chairman.
The Edgar Terrel family of Akron own two of the top 10 Palominos in the nation as judged by “Palomino Horses,” a monthly magazine out of Mineral Wells, Texas. Their horse career when they bought a pony for their 3-year-old daughter, Nancy, who is now 21 and the winner of many horse shows. “General Rocky” was top winner in the Championship Stake at the Indiana State Fair last year.
Janet Diniux, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Diniux, Bourbon, was named the 1965 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow from Triton High School.

Warsaw will have green and red stop-go lights at the intersections of Detroit-Center, Buffalo-Center and Buffalo-Market streets promised A.D. Phillips, chairman of the Junior Chamber of Commerce committee urging erection of these traffic flares. Because of the record of no deaths on these highways in Warsaw, the state highway commission was reluctant to give permission.
“Eight and one-half pounds, one-half ounce,” boasts Daily Times cameraman Bill Mollenhour as he excitedly phoned the office from Murphy Hospital, announcing the arrival of his son, Jerry DuMont, at 9:15 p.m. Feb. 2.
East and West Wayne schools have sponsored movies all this year as part of their educational program, approved by the state, rented from Indiana University.
