    Whitko's Tisha Rowland advanced to the Warsaw Semi-state by winning the three-point shootout at the Carroll Sectional.

Rowland scored eight points to win the event.

February 20 1983

    The Lincoln Faculty edged the local police team 64-62 in a benefit game played recently at the Lincoln School. The game raised $86.50 for the Lincoln PTA.

Randy Polston led Lincoln with 23 points, followed by Rod Yoder's 11 and Mike Conley's 10. The police team was paced by Leonard Massenburg's 13 and Tom Perzanowski's 12 markers.

    Greg Ingwaldson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lew Ingwaldson, wasn't the least bit bashful as he gave a valentine to Penny Neer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Neer. Both children are 5 years old and in the kindergarten class at East Ward.

February 20 1933

    Daniel Brothers, grocery and meat operators, of Columbia City, will soon open a store in Warsaw, occupying the W.S. Felkner store room on East Market Street, just east of the Watson Drug store, formerly the location of a Jet White store. Merl Hodges and his workmen were busy remodeling the room and preparing to put in a new front.
