Addition of 65,000 square feet to adjoin the south portion of Da-Lite’s projection screen manufacturing plant in Warsaw was announced today by George H. Lenke Jr., president. The addition follows a 15,000 square foot expansion program completed less than 18 months ago. Da-Lite, the world’s pioneer screen manufacturer, had a modest beginning with fewer than 15 employees in an old church building in Chicago in 1909, during the silent movie period. When the plant reached full capacity, the decision was made to move and build a new plant under one roof. After visiting a number of cities, Warsaw was chosen and a new plant was built three miles north of Warsaw on Ind. 15.
