    Twelve students from Grace College, including two local young people, are among those who have been selected as national outstanding leaders for the 1999 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and colleges.

The local students are Nathan Manahan, son of Ronald and Barbara Manahan of Warsaw; and Timothy Matthew Wright, son of Charles and Melva Wright of Pierceton.

    The United States Achievement Academy has announced that Angie Seeley has been named a 1984 United States National Award winner in history and government.

Seeley is the daughter of Frank and Elaine Seeley of Burket.

    Eldonna Tracy, of North Webster, Joyce Hatfield, of Akron, and Lyle Enyeart, of Silver Lake, are just three of the more than 1,000 third-grade pupils from Kosciusko County and area schools who left from Warsaw for the Shrine Circus at Fort Wayne.

    Warsaw gardeners report that plants, planted on the south side of houses, are 1 inch out of the ground, which is very unusual for this time of year. It will be necessary to cover the plants to keep them from freezing in low temperature spells that are almost certain to come before the actual arrival of spring.
