25 Years Ago The Warsaw Community High School drama department received an "Outstanding" ranking (the highest given) for their performance in the Seventh Annual Northern Indiana Thespian Mini-Conference, held at the Century Center in South Bend. Those in the competition were: Jane Bolinger, Shelly Lawson, Dawn Lemons. Michelle Sutton, Harvey Lem, Darryl Ramey, LeAnne Killingbeck, Shanna Randall, Angie Damron, Jeff Moore, Stephanie Miller, Laura Morrison and Amy Gregory. Becky White is the group director.
50 Years Ago Leading Junior 5-Acre Corn Club members from Kosciusko County have returned from the Junior Corn Growers Jamboree at Purdue University where they heard K.E. Beeson, Purdue extension agronomist, discuss "New Styles in Crop Varieties." Attending the event from the county were Mike Besson, Atwood; Dave Norris and Lyle Welty, Mentone; and Jack Hart, from the county extension office.
75 Years Ago Mrs. H.P. Frauhiger and son and daughter left recently afternoon for Orlando, Fla., where they will meet Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Class. In two weeks Mr. Frauhiger will motor to Florida, and his wife and children will return with him to Warsaw.
Among those from Warsaw who attended the professional basketball game at Nappanee were: Ben Detterman, Jerry Gerard, Bob Chambers, Howard Levin, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ring, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Best and Bud Case.
