    After 51 years, a locally owned downtown business is selling.

Brennan Drugs Inc., which operates two pharmacies in Warsaw, announced plans to sell both stores.

January 8 1984

    Kosciusko County Veterans Service Officer Eldon Ward received a certificate from the National American Legion honoring him for his service to veterans. The award is based on the number of veterans served. Ward was one of only two given in the state.


50 Years Ago

January 8 1959

    Five youths have enrolled for eight-week Purdue University short courses. They are Ronnie Severns, Mentone; Sam Barrett and Larry Wertenberger, both of Claypool; James Eaton, Mentone; Tom Groninger, Warsaw. Severns will study animal science; the others will study agriculture.


75 Years Ago

January 8 1934

    An echo of the Chicago milk strike was heard in Warsaw when a number of farmers selling milk to E.A. Williams, of the Warsaw Dairy, refused to deliver their milk to him. Williams procured a supply from other sources and today was contracting for milk from other farmers. Williams protested that he was paying 15 cents per hundred more than is being paid at the Pango factory and other large purchasing places in this county.
