The mill was built in 1838 by Ishmeal Summe, great-great-grandfather of Mentone citizen Lloyd Regenos, who still has the old books of the bill, containing names of Kosciusko’s early settlers. This mill, at first both a saw mill and grist mill, sawed the lumber for the first courthouse in Warsaw. A three-legged collie dog owned by Earl Boggs, of near Palestine, is reported fast enough to run down rabbits. The dog, who lost its leg in an accident years ago, is Boggs’ faithful pal.
