    The Knights of Columbus and Key Bank recently co-sponsored a coloring contest "The Day Santa Came To Town." Each winner received $50 compliments of the Knights and Key Bank. Winners are: Angela Williams, K-1 winner; Katie Curry, pre-K winner; and Lance Zimmerman, 2-3 grade winner.

    SYRACUSE - The Syracuse Town Board reorganized and made 1983 appointments, including a new police chief.

Department heads appointed are Police Chief William Selvey at a salary of $16,640; Street, Water and Sewer Supervisor Joe Dock at $18,415; Fire Chief Joe Anderson at $1,500.

    A total of 13,904 overtime parking tickets were issued here during 1957, city police reported today.

Drivers are allowed to "start fresh" in 1958. Old parking ticket records are discarded, and offenders will receive one "free" ticket before being assessed. However, the second violation of the year will cost a driver 50 cents, and the third and any succeeding tickets will each cost $1.
