Toni Lehman, LPN, is the Miller's Merry Manor employee of the year. She has worked at Miller's since 1993 and is a dedicated employee deserving of the award, according to Miller's officials.
The winners of the giant Christmas stockings at the two Penguin Point restaurants were Nathan Brunk, 3, and Bob Fugate, 9. Nathan is the son of Chris Brunk and Robin Ludwig, Bourbon, and Bob is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kennis Fugate, Pierceton.
Lakes in the city and areas are not yet safe for ice skating, but that didn't bother 9-year-old Kathryn Ann Lee, daughter of Attorney and Mrs. Gene Lee, of Warsaw. Kathryn was up early this morning working out on her own ice-skating pond in the yard of the Lee home, 936 E. Main St.
About 50 neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hart, of northwest of Milford, gathered at the Hart farm to husk corn. Mr. Hart has been seriously ill with rheumatism the past several months and has been unable to perform his farm chores. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hart are very grateful to all who helped with the work.
