   On a night meant to honor seniors, Warsaw’s lone senior, Rachael Franklin, played her part to the hilt. In Warsaw’s 76-19 victory over Whitko Thursday night, Franklin scored 10 points, pulled down five rebounds and dished out one assist in her best game of the season. “This meant a lot to me,” said Franklin. “I have not been a big part of the offense this season, and this was a great way to end (my career at home).”

   Angela Parker, a senior at Stephens College, has been chosen for the position of advertising editor for the 1988 “Stephensophia,” the college yearbook. Angela is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Parker, Warsaw.

   Fifty-five persons were left without jobs today when the Whitley Mfg. Co. plant, located in the extreme northwest portion of South Whitley, was leveled by fire. Five fire-fighting units working in below zero weather were able to save only a tractor and some office furniture from the long one-story building, sending damage in the vicinity of an estimated $200,000. Whitley Manufacturing Co. produces approximately 500 mobile homes per year, according to office manager Bob Stump.

    Bob Jonas, son of R.C. Jonas of Little Chapman Lake, has accepted a position with the Haeger Pottery Company. Until Feb. 12, Mr. Jonas will be in school at Dundee, Ill., learning to demonstrate the making of pottery. After that time he will be on the road. His territory is that of the Mississippi River.
