    NORTH MANCHESTER - A Manchester College professor has been recognized for epitomizing the ideals of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Ken Brown, a professor of religion and philosophy, was awarded the 1998 Martin Luther King Jr. Award by the Fellowship of Reconciliation.

    Pvt. Donald W. Greene, son of Charles D. and Linda A. Greene, Syracuse, and a 1982 Wawasee High School graduate, has completed military police training at the U.S. Army Military Police School, Fort McClellan, Ala.

Students were trained in civil and military law, traffic control, map reading and self-defense.

January 31 1958

    Mrs. John Ball Jr., of Barbee Lakes, won recognition in the 23rd annual Miami fishing tournament for landing a 31-pound barracuda and a 47-pound grouper on heavy tackle. She fished with Capt. Douglas Trevor on the Dram Girl out of Key West, Fla. The catch entitles Mrs. Ball to a personalized copy of the Year Book in which her name and achievements will be recorded on the frontispiece.
