POTPOURRI - Bob Sanders, Warsaw's Man of the Year, reportedly got his tongue stuck on the ice sculpture at the grand opening of the new Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Center recently. He was reportedly freed and is recovering.
Brian Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas, county winner of the Good Citizen contest sponsored by the Agnes Pruyn Chapman chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, also has been named as one of the top 13 winners in the state contest. One of these 13 will be named the state winner and receive a $100 bond.
Larry and Jerry Kuhn, identical twins from Akron, were pages recently in the Indiana General Assembly. Ralph Rader, state representative from Akron, invited the boys to be pages. They are sons of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Kuhn, of Akron. Both are 17 years of age and seniors at Akron High School.
The Jolly Homemakers' Club of South Wayne and Clay townships met at the home of Mrs. Sherman Fisher, south of Warsaw. After a sumptuous pot-luck dinner was served, a short business meeting was held. Catherine and Clara Belle Clase closed the program by favoring the ladies with a violin duet, being accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Jessie Parker.
